Cell Therapies Pty Ltd (CTPL) is a leading Australian contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) which manufactures and deploys advanced cell and gene therapies to the global market. For nearly 20 years, CTPL has developed and manufactured groundbreaking treatments for cancer, rare diseases and other serious medical conditions, on behalf of local and international clients. CTPL is currently undergoing a transformational change which will see the organisation transform over the coming months and years to become a partner of choice in the contract development and manufacturing landscape. To support our plans, we are working on implementing infrastructure, systems and building a high performing team which will support in the delivery of these groundbreaking therapies to Australian and international patients.

 

The Role

Reporting to our Supply Chain Manager, we are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced candidate in the newly created role of Demand Planner, to be responsible for all management and forecasting activities associated with our clients and inventories.  

Core responsibilities of this newly created role include:

  • Develop demand forecasts and be responsible for demand planning of all commercial inventory within CTPL;
  • Be accountable for ensuring accuracy of inventory maintained within the CTPL ERP platform;
  • Collaborate with other functional areas such as production, QA, QC, client relationship management and finance to understand demand forecast drivers;
  • Use and maintain the demand planning functionality within the SAP ERP platform as the primary forecasting system tool;
  • Provide input to the Supply Chain team in developing inventory strategies on existing materials, new materials and phase-outs to support strategies to mitigate materials obsolescence and organisational cash flows impacts;
  • Coordinate the inventory demands and associated planning activities related to 3PL/4PL and onsite inventories;
  • Work closely with the client relationship management team to ensure alignment between client activity forecasts and inventory demand planning;
  • Work as an active member of the cross functional team to investigate and reconcile any inventory planning or material variances;
  • Work as an active member of the cross functional team to refine and update forecast models to reflect updated client and organisational demands;

 

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will at a minimum, possess the following demonstrable experience within a contemporary setting:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a GMP environment;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in forecasting and forecasting methods with a clear understanding of their financial and operational impacts;
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills;
  • A highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and as part of an expanding team;
  • A strong and effective communicator who is able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
  • Proficient in MS Office365 (particularly Excel);
  • Strong IT and ERP system knowledge; and
